On Wednesday, March 10, the New England Revolution take off to North Carolina on a 12 day pre-season excursion, with the entire roster, including Taylor Twellman and Matt Reis, making the trip.  The team will be operating out of Cary NC and will face off against USL-2 side Charlotte Eagles and the Revs’ old US Open Cup rivals Carolina RailHawks, now part of the newly formed NASL.  The Revs are also scheduled to play a closed door scrimmage against Duke University.

Traveling with the team will be three new ‘attack-minded’ trialists: Marko Perovic, Gareth Williams, and Andres Raad, as well as training camp invitees Khano Smith and goalkeeper Tim Murray.   Sources say the 26 year old Serbian Perovic, who last played for FC Basel, is a left mid who has scored 28 goals in his 10 year career. Williams, a 28 year old former scottish international, is an attacking midfielder who suffered a serious knee injury several years ago while playing for Watford.  He is currently without a club but he did train with San Jose last July, and has also played for Leicester City and Nottingham Forest over a 6 year period, in which he tallied a combined 15 goals in 220 appearances.

Not much is known of Raad, except he is Ecuadorian and also 26 years old.
